Since i was a vulture with broken wings
I lost my interest in a "why"
And i don't care if i survive

The broken glass reminds me
Of on what the world was built
And the distorted reflection shows a life
Built on swallowing pills

So i hide
I hide myself behind my eyes
An evil, pitch-black mist
annihilates my tomorrow.
Under a sky full of crows,

in a never- ending bad dream.

Straßen verpestet von Menschen,
sie tragen verschiedene Porzellanmasken,
doch dahinter ist immer das gleiche Gesicht verborgen.
Spiegel hängt an der schimmligen Wand,
Gestalt in ihm nicht mehr erkennbar,
sowie dein Name – durchgestrichen, unbekannt;
was haben sie aus dir gemacht?
Was ist nun aus dieser Stadt geworden;
aus all ihren Straßen, Gebäuden und Häusern?
Überflutet vom See aus Schmerz und Leid.
Spiegel so zerbrächlich, wie diese Masken;
reflektieren ihre Erbärmlichkeit
Endlose Regentage
in einer Stadt voller Leere,
Isolation und Einsamkeit
ist zum Alltag geworden;
es verändert dich,
du zerfällst von innen.
Zeit ist still und Augen aus Blei.
Apathie, Rattenstadt;
Eine Galge hängt in der Ecke.
Alles vergeht,
Das Elend besteht.

Schatten NRW, Germany
Schatten is the one-man band of Einar, founded in the spring of 2018.
Since "Einsamkeit", it had found it's
way to the dark where it always was meant to be.
Schatten is about the expression of the pain of being alive in all it's forms- be it love, failure, addiction or mental breakdowns.
It was ended in April 2019, restarted in late june of the same year.
